Hannspree Announces New 11.6" Tablet PC

Consumer electronics manufacturer Hannspree has announced a new addition to its HANNSpad Tablet PC series, the 116 Poseidon.

The 11.6” 1366x768 display is said to offer a highly detailed picture quality and multi-touch operation. It includes IPS display technology which provides super wide viewing angles not only for the view of the screen from any position, but also to enable users to share their tablet experience with others more comfortably. The 116 Poseidon promises a powerful performance thanks to 64-bit Quad Core processing and 2GB RAM working together to deliver PC-like browsing speeds and cinema class home entertainment proficiency.

Powered by the Android 6.0 operating system, the 116 Poseidon offers users an up-to-date Android experience. In addition to offering access to millions of apps from online application stores including Google Play Store, Android 6 also benefits from smart battery features to preserve power, an intuitive shortcut system, and greater permission controls. The new HANNSpad comes with 16GB of on-board storage and only a handful of primary apps preloaded so there is plenty of space to download a bespoke collection of apps.

Micro SD expansion provides up to a further 32GB of storage providing heaps of additional space for photos, videos and files. A dual 2.0 Mega Pixel camera set-up provides convenient photography and videography on the move.

Wireless connectivity to the internet is both reliable and fast thanks to Dual Band Wi-Fi which is capable of connecting to both common 2.4GHz routers and 5GHz routers which offer almost no interference from other devices, whilst internal Bluetooth enables wireless pairing with limitless Bluetooth enabled accessories. Thanks to the addition of built-in GPS, the 116 Poseidon can be loaded up with navigation programmes to become a fully functioning route and mapping device, as well as utilise in-app location services to provide information such as local business information, weather reports and much more.

At £159 the HANNSpad 116 Poseidon is a Tablet PC designed with the addition of a few handy bells and whistles to satisfy the more experienced or adventurous user without a premium price tag. Available now from online retailers.
