Razer confirmed as headline sponsor at Insomnia59

Multiplay, the organiser of the UK’s largest gaming festival, has confirmed Razer as the headline sponsor of Insomnia59. The event (which runs from today until the 12th December) will also feature a wide range of retail brands including Overclockers, Microsoft, Fan Fibe, Cool2U, Box, ASUS, Gaming Merchandise and Numskull. Multiplay has also unveiled a range of exclusive deals that visitors will be able to purchase from GAME at the event.

Razer will use the event to launch the Razer Raiju gaming controller for the Sony PS4. It will also be exhibiting the Razer Bus (a mobile gaming bus containing a 14 PC LAN), a hands-on play area featuring the new Razer Blade gaming laptop and Blade Stealth ultrabook, and a console play area dedicated to Raiju.
 
“We have been a supporter of Multiplay’s i-series events for several years now”, says Marco Chillon, General Manager of Razer Europe, “An Insomnia event is exactly what Razer is about – having fun, gaming, meeting the guys you’ve been playing with online. It’s a great opportunity to meet a massive gaming community, and we’re proud to be able to give that community the UK’s first public look at the Raiju, as well as let them take one home in time for Christmas!”
 
And for anyone curious about what it’s like to man a 1,300mph fighter jet, now they can thanks to an augmented reality experience at Insomnia59. RAF SKYTECH, which will be partnering with Multiplay for the event, will provide an exciting glimpse of life as a Royal Air Force Cyberspace Communications Specialist, as users play a starring role in an adrenaline-fuelled 90 second experience. 

In addition, G2A will be exhibiting its new virtual reality theme park at the show, which visitors can have a sneak peak below.
